I was born Linda Jean Pringle on October 1, 1961, in Duluth, Minnesota where I live today. I am married, and I have two children - a 19-year old son, Kevin, and a 14-year old step-daughter, Viktoría. My Icelandic husband Snorri is an aerospace engineer with Cirrus Design Corporation where we first met in 1995. He's also a musician. You can purchase his CDs on his website. (www.snorri.com) The family has four cats - Leo, Oskar, Oliver and Boo. In addition to "collecting" cats, I also collect Boyd's teddy bears. Photos of my bears are used as cover art for the cards at HoneyPot Greetings.

My love of poetry began very early with a cherished book of rhymes called, Jolly Jingles. My mother read it to me so often that at the age of two I could recite the poems from memory and carried the tattered book around with me until it eventually fell apart. My kindergarten teacher wrote on my report card, "she loves rhymes and poetry!" When I had my own child I always chose the rhyming books to read aloud to him. Those books inspired me to write several of my own, but none were ever published. Finally, Meadowbrook Press accepted a poem I wrote called, Rules to live By for an anothology called, Kids Pick the Funniest Poems. Since that time my poetry has appeared in nearly all of Meadowbrook’s anthologies. And in 2006 a rhyming story I wrote called Mitchell Twitchell won first place in the Kathleen Julia Bates Memorial Writing Competition in Australia for best unpublished picture book text.

I also co-authored a book with Kenn Nesbitt called, Santa Got Stuck in the Chimney, 20 Funny Poems Full of Christmas Cheer. It's Published by Meadowbrook Press and Illustrated by Mike and Carl Gordon.

But I'm most proud of, Mrs. Pringle's Jolly Jingles. I co-illustrated this anthology with my son, Kevin. It contains 74 of my best pieces of poetry. It is published by Hands Up Books in the UK. Its title, of course, is for my mother and my cherished book of rhymes.

I've also just finished a novel for middle readers and young adults called, The Craft of the Wise. Twelve-year old Alex and his sister Emma are confronted with the worst bullies imaginable after starting a new school in Salem, MA. Fortunately, their reclusive neighbor is a witch. Not just any witch, but the reincarnation of a man who was tried for the crime in 1692. He tells them how he narrowly escaped hanging by casting a dark spell against his persecutors. Now Alex and Emma are convinced that their only chance against the bullies at school is to master the Craft and unlock the secrets of the spell. But magic in the wrong hands can be perilous. And dark forces, once unleashed, have a will of their own.
